Textbook Assistance is a program funded by student activity fees. This program is designed to help students to obtain textbooks when they have exhausted financial aid and have no other means for purchasing the required books. Applications for textbook assistance are available beginning on the first day of class each quarter and are processed in the order in which they are received. In order to receive assistance from this program, students must have applied for and used all financial aid to which they may be entitled. Failure to apply for financial aid in a timely manner limits a student’s ability to receive assistance through this program. For students whose applications are approved, the books required for one class will be provided. Participants in the program must return books to the appropriate office at the end of the quarter in the same condition as when they were borrowed. One time use items, such as access codes, are not provided. If the books are not returned, a hold will be placed on the student’s record.
Some core textbooks have been purchased and placed on reserve in the libraries for use by students who need access to these materials, but will be able to purchase them after a short delay. Students must use these books in the library; no check out is allowed.
